DAY 3 : TROPHIES, SHOW AND MEXICAN WAVE

The last siren sounded in Vinohrady, Jedenáctka and in an emotional environment at MINI in Kobylisy. It is finished and PFC SPRING 2024 is over.

The moments when the youngest participants of the tournament raced each other on the individual courts meant that the column for the matches of the promotion groups in the MINI variant was completely filled. Even with the help of the improved weather, the atmosphere here today was really electrifying and everyone present was delighted by the endless number of fights, goals and emotions that floorball evoked in these children. And the best ones were then awarded for their skills, which we believe will give them an even greater level of motivation for the coming years.

If we look back at what happened between the older categories, we have to start at the very beginning of today. Already in the early hours of the morning, individual teams began their journeys through the indiscriminate colossus called the playoffs. Although it may seem surprising to an inactive athlete, these moments, when every second, every mistake, every 1 on 1, can decide the end or stay in the tournament. It is therefore not surprising that there are sometimes nerves on the march and the desire to win sometimes clouds the objective perception of individual situations. Hell, it's a sport, and if all the participants are able to shake hands at the end of the match and respectfully congratulate their opponents or wish them good luck in their next job, then it's a sport worth striving for.

For this year's SPRING, truly unique trophies were created depicting a melted "Géčko" reminiscent of the typical spring weather that has finally arrived. Even though the journeys of the individual teams to the very top were long, in the end a total of 14 teams came together and shared the last two sets of medals. For the defeated semi-finalists, all that was left was bronze and a reason to keep working on yourself.

The finals themselves then began spectacularly, in one hall the teams entered to the deafening sound of smoke, in the other through a sparkling tunnel showing the finalists the direction to the opening ball. Well, when the notes of the national anthem ended and the first five were familiar to all observers, the referees could finally drop the ball for the opening bull. Each final was different, some had a definite course, but in most of them small things decided, and in many cases it was a single goal that could swing the scales to one side or the other. From the spectator's point of view, it was a really good floorball game and it was so magical to see the spectators on Jedenátka when they started the so-called "Mexican wave". The players perceive it. Coaches, referees, organizers and perhaps even administrators of individual halls, there are so many. Everyone then has their own awakening and realization: "it makes sense!"

Finally, we need to thank everyone who in some way helped to realize this year's Spring. From the main organizers, through individual hall managers, security guards, health workers, to coaches, parents and the actors themselves. Many thanks to you and many others for supporting us in this campaign, for seeing the meaning in active youth movement and for trying to pass on the right values to future generations.
